The Friday Five | April 2017

I'm writing this on Thursday night and all I can think about is how excited I am for the weekend (insert emoji praise hands here)! Not traveling home for Easter means a relaxing weekend full of Gossip Girl, waffles and sleeping in. I am SO looking forward to not setting my alarm tomorrow night.

I thought it would be fun to start a little series where I share five different things with you every Friday! It could be five things I am currently loving, five tips, five products on my wish list, or just anything! Today I have a list of five random things I am currently loving or just really in to and want to share with you all!

ONE // My FitBit
I used to have another fitness tracker, but I constantly had issues with it breaking. It also didn't track heart rate, which was something I really wanted to start paying more attention to. When my old tracker broke for the 3rd time I decided to bite the bullet and get a FitBit. I decided on the Charge 2 in rose gold. I absolutely love it. There are so many more capabilities than my last tracker and it seems to be way more accurate. I find myself being more motivated to move - especially after sitting at a desk all day. I also really enjoy being able to track my sleep every night. I highly recommend getting a fitness tracker if you want to be more motivated, have a better look into your overall health and track workouts.

TWO // Leon Bridges
Leon Bridges has been around for a while, but I hadn't really heard of him until I heard his song, River, on Big Little Lies (another fave). His music is absolutely amazing and perfect for listening to at work. I am pretty sure it is actually all I listen to at work (aside from Harry Style's new song). My favorites are River, Coming Home and Better Man. Definitely check him out!

THREE // Big Little Lies
Honestly, who doesn't love this show? All my friends at work and I are obsessed and were so sad when it ended a couple weeks ago (still sad TBH). It was probably one of the most beautifully filmed series I have ever seen. The soundtrack was the most perfect selection of music. The acting was incredible. The storyline was amazing. I could go on and on. The good news is that Harper's Bazaar published an article the other day saying that a season two was looking very likely! I mean, how could they not after all the love it received? To say I am excited is an understatement.

If you haven't heard of the money diaries on Refinery29, then you REALLY need to check them out! Basically women submit a week-long diary tracking their day-to-day life and spending. It gives great insight into how other millennial women spend their hard-earned cash. Half of me likes reading them because I am nosey, while the other half is genuinely interested in gaining more insight into budgeting. Thankfully they have started posting more frequently because I was reading them so much I almost ran out of new ones! You have been warned - they are pretty addicting.

I always go in and out of phases with wanting to take more photos but I am not a photographer and they always turn out very blah. I discovered A Color Story in the app store and decided to check it out. What I love so much about this one is that you can save editing steps so once you love the way a photo turns out, there is no guesswork in recreating it for other photos. It makes sticking to a cohesive theme super easy! I also just love the filter options, there is a wide variety and they are super bright and clean. If you are on the hunt for a good editing app, you should definitely download this one.
