The Roundup: Facial Mists

In the past, facial mists have always seemed like a pointless step in a skincare routine to me. I didn't really understand the benefits and thought it was basically just spraying water on your face.

Lately, I have hopped on the bandwagon and absolutely love facial mists. There are so many different options out there and they all have different purposes and benefits. Now, I just can't seem to get enough of them!

I haven't tried a ton of different ones yet, but the three I have given a good go are quite wonderful. There is some sort of satisfaction and enjoyment that comes out of spritzing your face with a cool, hydrating mist. I thought today I would share the three that I use and love and a give a little rundown on each one.

First off, let's start with the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. This spray is a recent impulse purchase in the checkout line at Ulta. I used it immediately when I got out to my car and fell in love. First of all, it smells amazing and just instantly perks you up. It also has aloe in it which is great for soothing the skin. I was overcoming a slight sunburn and it just felt incredible on my skin. This spray left my skin feeling moisturized and refreshed. I will say though, I bought the 2 oz. bottle for $5, which isn't a bad price at all, until I realized I could get double the amount for $7. I love the small size for travel, but will definitely get the larger size for when I am not on the go!

Next we have the Ole Henriksen Truth Facial Water. This is a new product exclusive to Sephora. I had heard great things about Ole Henriksen, specifically the Truth line, and wanted to give it a try. I really love this one. It has a refreshing citrus scent and definitely energizes your skin and senses with a couple sprays. This product is great for normal and combination skin; I have combo skin and can't seem to balance it out. This product really helps with that and makes my skin feel hydrated but doesn't cause me to produce excess oils. There are also two other Ole Henriksen facial waters that I would be interested in trying.

The last facial spray is actually the one I have been using the longest. It is the First Aid Beauty Vitamin Hydrating Mist. I am a longtime lover of First Aid Beauty and was drawn to this product while shopping for travel-sized goodies in Sephora. I always have this in my bag and use it religiously when flying. It really keeps my skin from drying out on the airplane and makes you feel a bit more refreshed after a long flight. I also love using this when I am outside in the heat. It cools you off a bit and gives that burst of freshness.

With this new obsession, I am always looking to try new and different facial mists. What are your favorite face mist recommendations?
